This is a very beautiful hotel and oozes elegance. It was once a palace and this is obvious from every aspect. The staff were charming and so helpful. The bedrooms are large and our twin room had three-quarter beds, very comfortable. It is ideally located and is 2 minutes walk from the square. Highly recommended.
Top Tip
Lots of local restaurants and wonderful food with plenty to choose from. Almost all menus are in english too. We ate in a different restaurant every evening and all were excellent as were all the staff. The polish people are delightful and so helpful.
It is inexpensive to eat out. Four of us eating - 2 courses and with wine averaged between £10 - £15 per person. It is an absolute must to take a trip to Auschwitz and Berkenau. It is such an historically appalling and wretched place but so sadly memorable.

Excellent 5 star hotel in a great location. 2 mins walk from the main square.Good breakfast, tea and coffee dressing gowns and slippers in the room.We had requested room on the top floor which was light and airy which we got can't speak for the other rooms
Top Tip
Loads of places to eat at about 75% price of UK especially being a city. Walking aorund with a good map is easy if you are up for it.Architecture brilliant,Cathederal and Castle a must. Also sightseeing balloon.

room was excellent, service staff were very good and friendly.Breakfast was varied and of good quality, cafe was a bit limited and expensive but a nice treat.Reception staff were very helpful, arranged my Auchwitz visit and taxi's.
Top Tip
Visitor's must have a carriage ride which was only 100 zl, worked out about £20 for 30 minutes, also a city tour on a golf buggy was very informative and worth the money. The salt mines are a must and also the Auchwitz Museum is somewhere everyone should go, the guides there are very informative.

It is a shame some guests were kept awake by the noise from the night club opposite -not the hotel's fault.
