Staff members are very helpful and welcoming.
Twin rooms tend to be on the small side.

Our Review

The Monopol Hotel boasts a fantastic location which acts as a good base for exploring. Many guests do state that rooms at the front of the hotel can get a little noisy with trams running directly outside. This hotel is a basic but clean and comfortable 3 star which offers good value for money and good service.

The Monopol is located 5-10 minutes’ walk to the market square. The hotel is just outside the city walls and many of the rooms have a view to the park (called the “Planty”) that surrounds the old town.

2 minute walk to market square... Plenty of resaurants within a few minutes walking distance... Market Square a few minutes walk from hotel.... Position of hotel good for walking around town from... Hotel situated 5 mins from old town - perfect... 5 mins max. walk from main square... great location ... easy excess to all the things we wanted to do. ... Monopol is perfectly situated between the Wawel, Main Square, Station and Jewish Quarter, all 5-10 mins walk. ... location is perfect for access to the Old Town... the hotel is situated on the main road ... The hotel is very close to most of the sites well within walking distance... The hotel was centrally located ... Excellent location ... five minute walk from the main Square... Great location for a short break ...
