  • Twin rooms tend to be on the small side.

Our Review

The Monopol Hotel boasts a fantastic location which acts as a good base for exploring. Many guests do state that rooms at the front of the hotel can get a little noisy with trams running directly outside. This hotel is a basic but clean and comfortable 3 star which offers good value for money and good service.

There are 75 guestrooms and the largest of them can accommodate up to 3 adults. They are decorated in calming neutral tones with cream walls and oak wood fittings. Many of the rooms are large with high ceilings. All rooms are equipped with telephone, Internet access, Satellite TV (although there are no English speaking channels) and a radio alarm clock. There are rooms adapted for disabled for guests with a wheelchair.

     Very nice and clean rooms! ...             Rooms towards the front suffer from proximity to main road:...             rooms cleaned daily...             rooms were spotless...             Bedrooms a bit on the small side...             No comfy chairs in the bedrooms ...             Disappointed with room...              others in party had good rooms...             beds clean and comfortable...             The first room we were offered No 389 was filthy...             The bedding was stained...             the walls were scuffed...             the carpets were dirty ...             I was given a room on the first floor within 10 metres or so of trams passing ...             receptionist refused a request for a change of room...              the beds are rock hard ...
