The Monopol Hotel boasts a fantastic location which acts as a good base for exploring. Many guests do state that rooms at the front of the hotel can get a little noisy with trams running directly outside. This hotel is a basic but clean and comfortable 3 star which offers good value for money and good service.
The Monopol Hotel is housed in a mansion-house building with a white façade, typical of Krakow's old town. The compact lobby has a tiled floor and a limited seating area to the left of the stripped pine reception desk. The 75 guestrooms are decorated in a light, understated style and feature wood furnishings. Both the rooms and the tiled en suite bathrooms offer all the facilities expected of this category of hotel. The hotel’s restaurant, "Leo", features crisp, elegant décor, with a marble floor, square pillars hung with prints, striped upholstery and white linen table cloths. It serves international cuisine and regional specialities. The hotel also houses a bar, offering a good selection of drinks and cocktails, and has an on-site shop selling souvenirs and cosmetics.
